2) Deacons
These are women and men who minister to the people in our branch
of the Body of Christ and to the community as a whole through various ministries of helps, such as, victim's outreach,
housing and job services, food growth and distribution, teaching, and healing prayers.
They administer the Sacrament of Baptism.
As such they are the Hands of the Church and their symbols are the wings
of an Angel, outstretched to shelter, guard, guide and nurture the lives of others in Christ. Their stoles represent those
angel's wings when they serve at the altar and the intense reverence that Deacons bring to the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar.
They represent the family of the Church.
